O'brien
Park Youth Baseball offers competitive baseball
leagues for those teams who just want to play competitive youth
baseball along with those who are serious about preparing their
athletes to play at the high school
level
and beyond. We
are the only park that offers T-ball thru college age competitive
leagues in the Tulsa area. We are in personal contact and work
with the majority of area high school coaches as
well as many college coaches and pro scouts. Our
goal is to see 'em come in as bouncy T-ballers and walk out as
college players/graduates with a lot of character, ready for lifes
challenges. Your team will play on some of the nicest, greenest
fields in the area as well. We
have 8 youth fields and 2 large high school/college fields all with new
lights in 2009. O'briens
philosophy is basically just build as good a team as you can and
play against the best
competition you can. We realize that in this day and time many
other parks, leagues and teams shy away from being challenged only
to have the kids pay the price at the high school level. Competitive
spring, summer and fall leagues are offered for youth, high school
and college ages. All of those who participate at O'brien are expected
to conduct themselves in a professional and sportsman like manner.
We are very fortunate to have many fine teams in all of our age
groups and are always open to adding and helping other teams who
would like to join O'brien and whose' priority is skills advancement
of the kids and not just the trophies, silly points chase, etc.

for Team Tulsa last summer at OBrien Park and also participated in

O'brien Parks "Sooner
Collegiate League" will be going into it's 6th
season in 2010. The league is open to 2010 graduated high school seniors
thru 23yr. old. This is a nice league not only for current college players
but especially for those high school seniors to get some college experience
before they even hit the college campus. If you're
interested in putting a team together CONTACT
US ASAP. We'll
be glad to help you put a team together but team spots are limited. The
first 2 seasons we limited it to 8 teams
and last season we uped it to 10 teams playing 21 games monday-friday.
In 2009 we registered with NBC and AABC baseball organizations.
USED BASEBALL/SOFTBALL EQUIPMENT ?
Bring any of your used, outdated, balls, bats, gloves, shoes, uniforms, etc.
to the park and donate it to "WORLD BASEBALL OUTREACH". They will gather
and distribute it back out to deserving kids locally and around parts of the

BASIC GAME RULES:
A* Teams bat their entire lineup.
B* Teams can play with either 9 or 10 players on defense.
C* Obrien will furnish game balls.
D* Teams can score a maximum of 7 runs per inning.
E* Run Rule - 15 After 3 - 12 After 4 - 10 After 5
F* No bunting.
G* Games will be 5 Innings or 1 HR. 15 Min. in duration.
H*Ties NOT played out in pool play.
I* Each batter gets 5 pitches then one swing off a “T”, if
all attempts are unsuccessful then batter will be called out.
J* Teams will “seed” into final 4 Championship round.
K* Tie breakers used 1). Head to Head 2). runs allowed 3). runs scored
4). Coin flip
L* All umpire decisions are final.
SATURDAY, JULY 10.
** SKILLS CONTEST RUN FROM 10 AM – 12 PM – APPROX.
Tentative schedule: Those that have pins to trade may do so at anytime.
10 am – 60yd. dash - all players.
11am – Farthest hit ball of “T” – all players.
12pm – Closest to target, long throw – all players.
** 1:00 pm game will actually begin approx. 30 minutes after skills
are completed.

3:00 pm – Drillers vs. Prospects
